Catholicism in Mexico is more than a set of religious ideals. It continues to have a real and visceral presence, informing life and culture on a daily basis. Uniquely influenced by the region’s own ancient beliefs, Catholic traditions are passed from generation to generation in an atmosphere where children not only observe, but become actively involved in their parents’ expressions of faith.
